Don’t listen to Tanerélle (Stephens) if you’re not ready to have your heart strings tugged. The Atlanta actress and singer has a short, but growing catalog that is guaranteed to get you in your feels. As a child, artists like Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and Paramore were played frequently and became early influences to the young artist. She released her debut single, “Siren” in 2015 at age 21. In 2017, she started a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to cover the costs of her EP. She released 11:11 in 2017, with standout tracks including “Clyde” and “Blk Gold.” In 2019 Tanerélle released a handful of singles, including “Won’t” and “Continuum.” In 2020, Tanerélle released her best song to date, the emotional, “Nothing Without You.” The song would be featured in the closing moments of a pivotal, episode 9 of Insecure, season 4.
