conswank aka Connor Stankevich fka Swank is a rapper and singer from Burlington, VT. conswank started rapping in the 8th grade after downloading the I Am T-Pain app on his iPod Touch. As you may remember, released in 2009, the app allowed users to record themselves over T-Pain instrumentals and add auto-tune. Finding a love for rapping, a few years later, conswank (then just Swank) joined a local hip-hop collective called 99 Neighbors, along with six other Burlington, VT artists; Sam Paulino (now maari), HANKNATIVE (now DAMOR), DJ Jared Fier, nadia, Somba, and Juju (now Anteneh). In 2019, their debut album caught the attention of Pat Corcoran (former manager of Chance The Rapper) who helped them reach a deal with Warner Records. In October 2023, the group announced their decision to disband in order to allow each of the seven artists to have individual focus.

A few months before this announcement, conswank had already released his debut solo project, Low Point Retreat in May. Highlighted by jams like “Missed Calls,” “Wrong Choices,” and “Mad Life,” conswank delivers an introspective album that provides listeners with a variety of catchy melodies, chill raps, and vibes. Since the project’s release, conswank has remained active, dropping a number of singles, most notably, the Novemeber 2023 “Blunt Packed to my Head” feat. My Favorite Color. With a unique set of inspirations including Pro Era, Tom Misch, and weed smoke, today, conswank describes his music as “sunny day vibes,” “morning blunt music,” and overall, just “music that sounds pretty.” With an upcoming single dropping in August, his next EP is already slated to drop in the fall.
