You can thank Vory (formerly King Vory) aka Tavoris Hollins, Jr. for some of your favorite songs because his pen has made its way around the industry. Born in Houston, TX, Vory moved to Louisville, KY at a young age where he met Bryson Tiller. The must-listen tracks on the project include “Overdose,” “Break Your Heart,” and “Again” featuring AD. He returned in 2018 with Lucky Me, with its best tracks being “Control” and “Hold of Me.” In 2019, he released the EP, Say, coming in hot on the first three tracks, “Save Me Now,” “Stay,” and “Selfish.” He has also made high-profile features, like on Rich The Kid’s “Ring Ring.”
In October 2020, Vory appeared on BEAM’s “SOMEBODY.” He appeared twice on Meek Mill’s November 2020 EP, QUARANTINE PACK on “Middle of It” and “Think It’s a Game.” Vory released his self-titled album in December 2020, under Roc Nation and Dream Chasers. The album includes features from Meek Mill, Starrah, BEAM, and Landstrip Chip. Standouts include “Ain’t It Funny,” “Not Outside,” “All Due Respect,” and “Lil Benny (2nite).”
