Nuke Franklin aka Stanley Edwards Jr. is a Cleveland-based rapper with a sound that displays clear influences of ScHoolboy Q and Tyler, the Creator. Some of Nuke’s other influences include Mac Miller, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar, and fellow Clevelander, Kid Cudi. Nuke Franklin has been making music since the age of 13 and performing since the age of 16. He released his first album, Nuketown in 2017, highlighted by the songs, “All About It” featuring Jus Johnny and “Check Up” featuring Kipp Stone, a fellow Cleveland artist, and frequent collaborator. Nuke Franklin returned a year later with FRANKO, an album with standout tracks that include “Intro,” “Done Deal,” and the Notorious B.I.G. interpolating, “Yuh” featuring Kipp Stone.

Though yet to release a true third album, Nuke Franklin has continued to get better and better with each release, remaining active by releasing numerous EPs, singles, freestyles, and features in the three years since FRANKO’s release, starting with 2019’s Play Dead - EP. The 5-track project kicks off with its high note, on the upbeat, “Mardi Gras.” In 2020, Nuke Franklin released the 3-track, What a Mess… with spooky vibes and perhaps his best beat selections to date. What a Mess… is the type of project where everyone has a different favorite song, but “Antelope” featuring Brian Brown is surely something special. Other notable songs and features from Nuke Franklin include “Sun Shine” from the Surprise Party single release and Chick Da Flyest’s “PTSD.”

In January 2022, Nuke Franklin returned with the release of his next project, Runnin’ With Scissors, with standout tracks, “Ohseitgawddamn,” “Hidden Hills,” and “Runnin’ With Scissors” featuring V’Ari. For nearly the next 2 years, Nuke focused on dropping singles like “1833” with Kipp Stone and “Live 09” featuring Meech from Van Buren Records, and features like “Mike Evans” by Anthony James and also featuring John Michel and Malik Elijah while working on his next album. Finally, in December 2023, Nuke Franklin dropped off 90Five with features from Malik Elijah, Shawn K, and more. The album has a little something for everyone; you can find high-energy on “Gmfu,” classic Nuke Franklin raps on “Die Broke,” vibes on “Moonlight,” and storytelling on “Look Mama I’M a Man.”
