Deshawn Visionz aka Quentin Deshawn Ward is a rapper from Sacramento, CA, currently living in Atlanta, GA. Deshawn says that he decided to start making music in 2018 in order to motivate a friend of his who also was making music at the time. Soon after, Deshawn Visionz attended a Saba concert, which gave him the push he needed to start getting serious about making music. Considering this, Deshawn lists Saba as his biggest influence, and he says that Mick Jenkins and Isaiah Rashad are two other artists who inspire his chill vibe and self-described, “soul-conscious” sound.
Deshawn Visionz released his first project, Stranded - EP in 2020. The project opens with “Eden,” the most popular song of Deshawn’s young career. Just a year later, Deshawn Visionz returned, releasing the full-length, Soulstice in December 2021. This project sees highs on “No More Disguises” and “Guillotine” featuring Damelasoul and Genie. In 2022, Deshawn released Home, What’s Home, a 9-track effort highlighted by “Human.” Staying consistent, he released two, two-packs in 2023, Time Is Now and Relapse/Run.
Deshawn Visionz dropped his next full-length project, Thank God For The Homies in January 2024. The project’s top track is “Here At Last” featuring Khi Infinite. Just over a year later, Deshawn teamed up with producer Conner Helm to release the 4-track, Liku-EP on Valentine’s Day 2025 with standout track, “MIND” which features Brando Blu.
