Blessing

Blessing is a self-described rebel and a singer, songwriter, and guitar player from Houston, TX. Though she has been into music her whole life, Blessing was inspired to buy a guitar and started singing, writing, and making music after she heard Shawn Mendes’ 2015 album, Handwritten. Needless to say, she lists Shawn as her biggest musical inspiration.
Today, Blessing describes her sound as a blend between Pop and R&B. In 2022, Blessing released her debut EP, the girl next door. The 6-track effort is highlighted by the upbeat third track, “freak.” However, Blessing suggests that the next song “character” is the first song she’d play for someone who has never listened to her music, saying that it gives the best preview of her musical style as a whole.
