Akeem Ali aka Keemy Casanova brings a 70s pimp vibe to modern rap music. The rising Jackson, Mississippi rapper was formerly in the military and worked as a barber. Akeem Ali gained attention when his “Keemy Casanova” went viral, gaining the attention of rappers like Guapdad 4000, who even offered to hop on a remix of the song. Akeem’s only project released thus far is 2019’s Rollin. On the project, Akeem Ali’s potential is most noticeable on tracks like “Rollin,” “Be Alright,” and “Thank You Letter.” Keemy was influenced by artists like Big K.R.I.T., André 3000, Snoop Dogg, and Lil Boosie.
Akeem Ali continued with his Keemy Casanova performs into 2021 with the release of the singles, “Shugga” and “The Mack.”
